    Start from the approved configuration

    Quality inspection cannot compensate for an ambiguous specification. Freeze the bill of materials or controlled configuration, drawings, finish sample, software versions, accessories and acceptance criteria before production.

    Test power-on, inputs, USB, network, speakers, touch or peripherals where specified, remote control and scheduled functions. Use the agreed image-quality sequence for pixels, uniformity, leakage, color, gradients and motion.

    Confirm firmware, OS, player app and configuration identity. A unit can pass hardware tests and still fail deployment because of the wrong software build.

    Design a meaningful burn-in test

    Define duration, content workload, brightness setting, network activity, ambient condition and pass criteria for the project. Monitor for restart, signal loss, image abnormality, noise, overheating behavior and unstable connectivity.

    Longer is not automatically better. The test should target likely early failures and assembly issues while remaining controlled and repeatable.

    Test recovery, not just endurance

    During or after the run, perform approved power and network interruption tests. Verify startup, input selection, playlist resume, time synchronization and remote status.

    Record recovery time and any manual action. For unattended deployments, predictable recovery can be a critical acceptance requirement.

    Final inspection, packaging and traceability

    After burn-in, complete cosmetic, functional and accessory checks. Confirm labels, serial numbers, carton marks, manuals, power cords and packing list. Inspect packaging against the planned logistics route.

    Retain per-unit or lot-level records appropriate to project risk. The evidence package should let buyer and manufacturer identify configuration, test result and disposition without guesswork.
